'Westhoofd' lighthouse, Ouddorp

Westhoofd is the name of the lighthouse in Ouddorp on the isle of Goeree-Overflakkee. It's still staffed and in use, and at night I can see it's light blinking from my holiday home.

Signed and numbered toyobo print on 300gr Hahnemuhle etch paper, 28x22 cm (so it fits a 30x24 box frame). Print run of 5.

Toyobo prints are unique, like etch prints - but in this case the metal printing plate is made using a light-sensitive polymeric layer. You see each individual pen stroke of the drawing and the embossing of where the plate is pushed into the paper.
